PREMIUN: we recommend to take this trip because is the most complete, great hotels and normally private service in all our packages, it is 100% operated by Peru path, normally we use 3* hotels with very accessible prices. Get a list of recommended hotels if you wish all those of 3*.
DELUXE : Honeymoon?, anniversary?, birthday?, we know your trip is very special, you are very special for us, so we want to make sure you get the best for your trip, so this option offer to you the best hotels, best meals and finally the best experience all operated by Peru path, actually we include one of our representative that will work with you all your need the 24 hours while your trip, please ask the list of the Recommended hotels of 4* and 5* that we will use in Aguas Calientes for your 2nd night hotel. Day 1 – Cusco – Downhill – Rafting – Hot spring
We will pick up at 7:30 am at your hotel approx. You will join a group.
We are going to enjoy the spectacular scenery as you are driven to over 4,300 meters above sea level to the top of Abra Malaga or the lowest point of the Veronica Mountain. Take a deep breath, strap on the protective gear provided and take in the majestic mountain before hitting the pavement on pretty new mountain bikes.
Your guide and the bike will help to enjoy the downhill, the wind whip your face as you cruise down winding mountain roads, you will past waterfalls, mountain villages.
Almost three hours and a 2,200-meter decent of white knuckled excitement bring you to the lunch stop in Huamanmarca beautiful Inca site.
Strip off layers and slap on insect repellent as you enter into the Forest and very tropical area. After lunch and some time to relax (to let the heat of the afternoon melt away), in the afternoon you have the chance to enjoy the affluent of the Urubamba river in the optional rafting experience, later a short van ride takes you to the start of your first short trek.
We take a Car to Santa Teresa village where we spend our 1st night. Finally before we get our dinner we go to the beautiful hot springs to refresh after a long day.
Day 2 – Hot spring – Zip line – Machupicchu town
The second day: either continue trekking, or choose to fly through the air 150 meters above the ground over rivers and jungle! The zip line or Tyrolese option includes transport to the zip line facility and 5 zips.
Make sure you book your zip line ahead of time to ensure the safest, highest, fastest zips (there are several other zip tours of lesser quality so it is after you).
Then we will star to walk from Hydroelectric station, after we walk a few minutes we are going to find another Inca Site call Inti Watana, it is an astronomical site in the middle of the forest and is in connection with Machupicchu city, after we get an explanation we continue walking for around 1 hour we stop for lunch.
The place for lunch is an exclusive site to enjoy the best of the Peruvian Gastronomy; it is a great chance to taste the Peruvian Cuisine. Another 2 hours trekking along the train tracks and the raging river brings you to the Machupicchu town. Travelers have the option to visit the local hot springs or relax and explore the town before dinner.
Make sure you make it an early night to be awake for the ascent to the jewel of the tour: Machu Picchu! We normally prefer to go very early the next day so we can enjoy the Sun Rise in Machupicchu and we have better chances to see Machupicchu with less people.
Machu Picchu tour / Huayna Picchu climb / Sun Gate – Cusco.
We are going to start very early. Ascend step by step for approximately an hour up the Inca staircase to the formerly lost stronghold of Machu Picchu city.
Later we do have a 2-hour guided tour reveals mysteries and poses questions of how the Incas lived and were able to achieve such marvelous feats of engineering and Architecture in the middle of the Andes.
After the tour you have the option to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain or the option to the Sun Gate for even incredible views of the ruins and the surrounding sheer cliffs of the Andes.
Later you will have time exploring the ruins and get that perfect picture before making your descent back to Aguas Calientes. Your return to Cusco in the afternoon, finally we will drive you to Cusco.
